i like the arpeggio synth a lot as well as the background pad. most of the drums are also very strong, however i'm not a huge fan of the hi hat sound, it feels a bit lacking in presence. the lead synth i find is a tad quiet. the song feels a little dissonant, and the chord progression itself is a little uninteresting, and repeats throughout the whole song with no variation. overall there is a lot of potential here, and I see you making some great tracks in the future with some practice!

cool song!

really cool instrumental. I've used synthesizer v myself for my own music and I like how you've applied it here, but using it for prog metal is really testing its boundaries. weirdly enough is like the vocals progressively get better and more natural sounding as the song goes on, they start kind of rough but end wonderfully. pronunciation is the main thing that stands out, such as "you're shaking" turning into "ya shiking". for synthesizer v, you have to do a lot of manual editing to make it sound more natural.

overall, great job. great composition and production plus a really cool theme.

Thank you!, as for pronunciation it doesn't help that NineZero is Australian!, it took some words hard to make out! haha.

little note: because you updated the song the id is different now, so for the description you should change that

happy birthday dude! I'm starting to get there too and I can relate a lot to the description.
As for the song, i absolutely love the chord progression, its really creative. i like the sort of odd rhythms the 8bit percussion has. I'm gonna recommend this for front page, good job man!

MasterHand4444 responds:

Thanks so much!! The chords were a lot of fun to put together.

I think this is the epitome of a good idea with bad execution. I actually kind of dig the lyrics and the delivery of the vocals itself is alright, but it looses originality with the usage of a random limp bizkit song for the instrumental and the vocals themselves not properly being mixed.

TLDR; Its hard to take a song seriously when the instrumental is a random song by the chocolate starfish dudes and the vocal mixing is not there.

Kwing responds:

I can agree with the poor mixing - it's one of the skillsets that I've neglected for far too long and it it's definitely the weak link in my work at this point (in addition with my gear being pretty cheap.)

Hard disagree on use of a Bizkit instrumental though. Even people that hate Fred have nothing bad to say about Wes or other members of the band (and I suspect you wouldn't even know it was theirs had it not been included in the description.) I could have done the obvious and picked something more in the style of Rage Against the Machine (it definitely would have gone with the political message) but I really liked the riffs and wanted to spit over them. Hell, I'll probably rap over an ICP beat one of these days because damn it they're catchy.

cool song but that waveform is goofy as hell lmao i've never seen anything like that.

Jmagnum responds:

yeah idk whats going on with that lol. Hopefully it's just NG and not the song itself :S
